**Kaset: a solid Mac YouTube Music client**
I've tried a lot of Mac YouTube Music clients, and Pake had one too, but this one feels carefully made and the experience is really good. Worth a try.
**You don't need to mess with format conversion anymore**
Following the video above: I was going to build a small format converter for myself. I needed to turn MOV videos from my iPhone into MP4. I used to download some big converter app for that, then it hit me that I could just tell my AI, and it finished the conversion very quickly. Next time you need any kind of format conversion, it's worth trying this way.
**If you use tmux, try this new thing called herdr**
Looks pretty good. If you're a hardcore tmux fan, give it a try: more AI-friendly, cleaner, and from what I've seen, well made.
**img2threejs: turn images into 3D**
This image-to-threejs tool is nicely done and cuts the cost of writing threejs a lot.
**This 3D organ viewer is well done**
Worth a look if you're in biology or medicine, or just into biology. Feels professional and educational.
**UU Remote: this remote tool is seriously good**
UU Remote. I'd call it the best free iPhone app for side support in the AICoding era. Remote speed, clarity, and latency are all handled really well. Paired with Claude / Codex on mobile, it's genuinely useful.
## Just Looking Around
**Four aha moments Mole Mac gave me**
Congrats to Mole CLI on hitting 60K stars. Since last National Day, when I wrote a few hundred lines by a pool in Sanya and open-sourced it, it has shipped 55 releases total, and 112 real developers from around the world have contributed a lot of code. Later I built Mole Mac, the Pro version with a native GUI and more capabilities. Here are 4 aha moments from my own use.
First: one afternoon I got a notification that my AirPods were low and needed charging. That feature genuinely surprised me. The AI added it proactively while working on battery health. Mole reminds you when Bluetooth battery devices linked to your Mac are low and need charging. I never hit that scenario until I did, and it felt thoughtful without being noisy.
Second: as someone who uses it every day, I still managed to free 86G. An earlier version added cleanup for clearly useless build output inside projects. My Rust projects had piled up a lot of target directories, and clearing that much at once was very satisfying.
Third: the keep-awake feature. After users asked for it, 3 different keep-awake behaviors were added. I still prefer the mode that keeps the screen on. For example, if you head out on a weekend, you can control your AICoding solidly from the phone client and keep it working. Very stable, and it's saved me a lot of async time.
Fourth: Mole's battery display can show your iPhone battery too. That used to be hard to implement, but it was done cleverly. Now you can clearly see battery levels for the devices that matter to you in the status area, quietly, but with peace of mind.
Even better: none of these 4 features started as my idea. Early Mole users asked for them, I added them, and they've helped me a lot. Thank you. If Mole Mac has surprised you somewhere, or you have a feature you really want Mole to add, tell me.
**A few notes on investing**
Market swings educate everyone who thinks they're a stock god, and reward everyone who can stay calm. Keeping cash matters, and picking a sound value-investing direction matters more. Buy low when the market is gloomy, and when enthusiasm is high and everyone is piling in, calmly sell at good exits and recycle cash as bullets. Trade only a few times a year, only buy stocks you can sleep well holding, skip China concept stocks, and spend the rest of your time on things you like. That may be my long-iterated investing rule.
